KATHLEEN GORHAM - PARALEGAL
PRESIDENT
Kathleen is currently serving as President of Desert Palm Legal Professionals Association (DPLPA). Concurrently, she serves as DPLPA’s Treasurer. Kathleen has been an active member of DPLPA since 2011. She has served DPLPA in the following capacities: Parliamentarian, Education and Training Chair, Bylaws Committee member, Program Chair, and Conference Co-Chair.
Originally from the San Fernando Valley, Kathleen has lived in Palm Springs since 1990 with her husband, Tom. A member of the Palm Springs Film Society and the Palm Springs Air Museum.
Kathleen currently works as Probate Paralegal at Slovak Baron Empey Murphy & Pinkney firm in Indian Wells. Kathleen has served in the legal profession for 34 years.
LUZ DAVIS - PARALEGAL, CA LDA, AZ CLDP
VICE PRESIDENT
Luz is currently serving her second term as Governor of Desert Palm Legal Professionals Association (DPLPA), having first been elected for a one-year term, beginning in May of 2025 and again in May of 2026, now a two-year term. Concurrently, she serves as DPLPA’s Vice President. Luz has been an active member of DPLPA since 2017 serving in several committee positions (webmaster, newsletter, social media).
As Governor, Luz is the liaison between the local association, Desert Palm LPA, and the larger organization, Legal Professionals, Inc. (LPI).
Luz is the owner operator of Blythe Legal Support in California as a registered and bonded Legal Document Assistant (CALDA) and Davis Paralegal Services in Arizona. In 2026 Luz was granted certification by the Supreme Court of Arizona as a Certified Legal Document Preparer (AZCLDP).
Luz is a native of the Coachella Valley. She began her legal career in 2010 at the Law Offices of Lisa D. Jentzen, advancing from intern to paralegal, and subsequently gained experience with multiple family law firms throughout the Coachella Valley.
SAMANTHA MARJI - PARALEGAL, CA LDA
SECRETARY
Samantha is a Registered Legal Document Assistant (CALDA), California Notary Public, and ABA-Approved Paralegal and a proud Air Force Reservist and Veteran.
She brings both legal expertise and a heart for service, having volunteered with the Young Survival Coalition since 2019 and the National Charity League since 2021.
Samantha is no stranger to Desert Palm LPA, having served on our Board from 2022 to 2018. We're thrilled to welcome her back!
